The collection of works of Mohammad Reza Lotfi was published.

According to MUSIQI MA news-analytical site, a collection of works by Professor Mohammad Reza Lotfi was published at the same time as the seventh anniversary of the death of this prominent Iranian music professor. This collection includes all prefaces, colors, chaharmezrabs, compositions and percussions compiled, transcribed and published by Houshang Farahani.
Houshang Farahani in parts of the introduction of this book in a explanation of details and publication of this work wrote: “writing of these works began in 2006 at the request of Professor Mohammad Reza Lotfi and under his supervision and ended in 2013. The untimely death of Professor Mohammad Reza Lotfi on the eve of publication of this work caused a long delay in the publication of this book. This collection has now been published with additions and explanations about several decades of continuous activities of SHEIDA Music Group under supervision of Mohammad Reza Lotfi. Works in the form of hymns and compositions entitled “CHAVOSH” reminding parts of the history of social and political developments in Iran, which creates a kind of new transformation in the expression of Iranian music. The writing of some rare and unpublished pieces and Mohammad Reza Lotfi’s supervision over the writing process until 2013 is one of the important features of this written collection”.
Mohammad Reza Lotfi was one of the influential figures in Iranian instrumental music who started his great artistic activity in the late 1940s and until the last days of his life on May 4, 2014, he taught, preserved and disseminated Iranian music. His name and music is familiar to the Iranians, whose songs and poems have become part of the history of this land.
